Our certified Service Providers lay the foundation for your child’s journey through our wig recipient program. These wonderful individuals are responsible for everything related to your child’s wig fitting and styling assistance. To set them up for success, we provide specialized training to all of our Certified Service Providers.

A stylist’s commitment to the Wigs For Kids Recipient Program involves:

• Completing specialized training to learn the necessary techniques and skills for personalizing hairpieces.
• Accepting responsibility and accountability for accurately measuring and ordering the hairpiece.
• Building a solid relationship with your child and your family while providing continued support beyond the fitting/styling consultation.
• Pledging to stay current with the latest trends for cutting hairpieces.
• Transforming the confidence and self-esteem of local children—and helping them look themselves with a children’s real hair wig.

Initial Consultation Expectations

The initial consultation with your stylist is a time filled with courage and hope, as your family embarks on a transformative journey towards a new beginning. Your child may feel a mixture of nerves and excitement—but don’t worry. Stylists work hard to create a compassionate, warm, and understanding environment so you and your child feel as comfortable as possible.

Your stylist will work closely with you during the Initial Consultation to:

• Accurately measure for your child’s hairpiece
• Document specifications correctly for ordering the hairpiece, including cap size, length, and desired hairstyle

Final Consultation Expectations

Once your child’s hairpiece arrives, your stylist will work with your family in the Final Consultation to:

• Fit, cut, and style (if need be) your child’s new hairpiece
• Review the haircare brochure
• Demonstrate how to care for and maintain the hairpiece

Future Hairstyle Needs

Over time, as your child grows more confident with the new hairpiece, she may decide she wants to try a different hairstyle. Your stylist will manage any future hairpiece enhancements, adapting to your child’s evolving tastes and ensuring that each style not only looks beautiful but feels comfortable and truly their own.
